- Spoiler Warning -

This page offers up a quick list of possible triggers in the Grey Wolfe Empire Series, listed by book. If you don't want any spoilers, you should stop reading now and dive back into the series. ;)

Book One: Throwaway Prince

In ths book, one of the male leads, Grey Wolfe, kidnaps the female main character, Peyton, and has a hitman kill her father, sister, and brother-in-law while she's in the same room (she doesn't have her glasses on and cannot see very well). He marries her and consummates that marriage without much enthusiasm on her part; it's not entirely non-consensual, but it's certainly dubious. In real-life, I would shoot Grey in the balls. In this series, Peyton enjoys the things Grey does while denying it.

Grey also 'purchases' one of the other male leads, and drugs him so that he has 'no choice' but to act on his sexual desires. He also captures the third and final male lead during an assassination attempt and keeps him prisoner as well. The characters are 'forced' to do things with one another to keep up the ruse of being under Grey's control, and they follow his orders, even when they don't want to.

There is a scene where Grey makes one of the male leads perform oral on him, and gets quite rough with him.

Another scene includes Peyton pretending to fight and run from Grey, but as soon as he grabs her, she goes limp because she enjoys his touch while pretending she doesn't.

This isn't a complete list of triggers, but offers at least some idea of what you're getting into.
